The fifth-annual Fort McMurray Food Festival presented by Suncor will kick off with the Food Festival Golf Classic presented by A.P.E. Maintenance on July 16, 2021.

FORT MCMURRAY FOOD FESTIVAL 2021 PRESENTED BY SUNCOR IS BACK THIS SUMMER  

(July 2, 2020, Fort McMurray, AB) - The fifth-annual Fort McMurray Food Festival presented by Suncor will kick off with the Food Festival Golf Classic presented by A.P.E. Maintenance on July 16, 2021. The goal is to create a fun golf tournament that raises funds for Waypoints while keeping our community safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Fort McMurray Food Festival is organized by a committee of volunteers, who bring the community together to celebrate summer, support the local restaurant industry, and raise funds for Waypoints. 

“The Golf Classic is one of my favourite Food Festival events of the summer,” said Festival volunteer co-chair Mike Jones. “Any time you can combine food, fun, and sports into an event it makes fundraising during the event an easy win for Waypoints. I’m so pleased to see the continued commitment from Suncor and A.P.E. Maintenance. Their sponsorship allows the festival committee to make this event possible.”

The nine-hole tournament will take place at the premier Miskanaw Golf Club on Monday, July 16, 2021. All participants will get to experience the following:

  • Golf registration with individual power cart for nine-holes 

  • Welcome drink and appetizer with live music

  • Minimum of two holes featuring food and one hole with a Signature Cocktail 

  • Custom-created food for the occasion out on the golf course 

  • Games and prizes on various holes
